In real life, digital transformation includes many things that existed long before the term became popular. I myself understand it as changes in the way we work, creating space for innovation, growth and competitiveness through the use of modern digital technologies. It’s an opportunity to do the same thing better, and often completely differently. It’s knowing how to react to changes faster and more flexibly. Transformation should bring people greater comfort in their work and free them up for much more effective ways of working, so as to better fulfill customer expectations.

Nowadays I’m convinced that we’re not even talking about a possible competitive advantage, but the necessity of keeping pace with others who are investing into digital transformation. Companies that have not gone through digitalization are visibly falling behind in their growth. This was clearly shown during covid, when those who didn’t innovate fast enough started to fall behind others on the market. The pandemic has significantly accelerated the entire process of digital transformation in companies, but it was going to happen anyway because the benefits it brings are so obvious.

At the same time, digital transformation has no limits. In my opinion, highly dynamic areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing and biotechnology have the potential to bring unbelievable progress in the near future. They will not only change the way we work in companies, but also significantly change lifestyles for most of us.
